About us and blues

Yes, we love the blues! Yes, we do not just love the blues. We love doing the blues! We are musicians. We are still amateurs, although our age far from the young. And it’s not bad: we do not earn a living with music, and can afford to play from the heart. We play the blues for yourself and for those of us wants to hear.

Each of us came to the blues on his way. Therefore, our blues has a lot of stylistic nuances. we play as a «pure» blues and blues-rock, country-rock, boogie, funk.

Our credo

We do not do cover songs we write ourselves and play our music. We sing a little, but if we sing, we sing in their native Russian language. We are confident that if we can not do without words, all the nuances and subtleties to be accessible and understandable to the listener.

Our style is a desire to make music, avoiding any electronic manifestation of aggression. We want to preserve tradition playing blues 60’s, on the one hand, and create your own handwriting, on the other hand.

The beginning

Our history began by 1991 year which has become a distant and forgotten . The desire to create something new, which characteristic of all the young, was seized by three young musicians. Andrew Bondarenko was wield a skilful guitarist, and his singing of «wide» at four octave had amaze listeners and fellow-musiciants. Valery Magdiev always lived in Uzbekistan was and is a unique drummer. The most sophisticated rhythms and measures, the transitions between them, the speed never been a problem for him after medium-Asian music «school». Timur Kadyev was bad singer and guitarist, but he could write music not half bad, and could organize creative process very well. We recorded the first magnetic album with the participation of the great Russian rock and blues pianist Peter Podgorodetskiy. But this was not the blues...

The Enclave

The idea of create blues band came in late 2004. Bass guitar handed Zaven Ayvazyan. Alexander Bondarenko took the guitar and harp. New repertoire consisted of a translation into blues of the old plays, though we was played and a few completely new (to us) ideas.

Sasha Bondarenko retired in 2006 at first, but after Andrew. But two good guitarists replaced one Guitar’s God — wonderful funk guitarist Alex Korotkov began to work with us.

We have a full (we believe) by a group in 2007 — we were joined by keyboardist Edward Saveliev, who gives our music the old, almost forgotten since Peter Podgorodetsky shades.

Today

Today, we play four: Zaven Aivazian (bass, vocals, composition, lyrics), Timur Kady (guitar, harp rarely, composition, vocals), Valeriy Magda (drums) and Eduard Saveliev (keyboards). We have our own, formed a style, sound, their listeners. But we are still looking for ... looking for blues!
